~RESCUE STORY OF CAMELS@SGACC~
Camels
are large exquisite animals used in Dessert areas of India by farmers for agriculture and by Indian army
However this iconic animal is disappearing before our eyes. In Rajasthan the camel has become expensive and rare with less than 50,000 animals and has been declared an endangered species by the IUCN.

RESCUED CAMEL AT SGACC |
Camels have over the past decade have lost their sheen due to rampant illegal slaughtering. They are transported in trucks with their legs and mouths tied with ropes. There is hardly any space to breath. These large animals are cramped into a single truck in violation of the Transport of Animals Rules and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960. They are sold off by farmers once they become useless for illegal slaughter by butchers.
SGACC receive camels which have been rescued by police officials, The illegal transporters/traders are caught while transporting these animals via Delhi border usually to Baghpat or Haryana. The trade has drastically affected the population of this specie. Our court battles against this illegal lobby has helped us rescue over 100 camels in the past one year ! Some are abandoned once they fear getting caught by police. Below is one such recent incident!
Every animal's life is as precious as humans, according to SGACC!!
Let's begin "a journey into forgotten and forsaken places"
Abandoned camel yes you heard me right

MAGGOT WOUND |
Wednesday, 6th July 2016
SGACC provided shelter to 3 camels which were found near by Geeta
colony wandering on roads at midnight with maggot wounds, cuts and
bleeding nose, but the truth of the situation is way deeper than we
thought
, THREE
camels were spotted by Mr. Mohit WORKING IN DHYAN FOUNDATION, near
Rajghat bypass near by Geeta colony. He approached PCR VAN which was
present at the very place where camel were tottering unsound and lost
without any sign of their catalyst. At first police
refused to help but Mr.Mohit made continuous efforts helped the camels to be rescued. After all formalities ASI of police department
signed the papers and then by the undying spirit of volunteers of SGACC
and people like Mr. Mohit
these gentle giants were rescued. At the Odd hour
of the clock
(midnight) volunteers from
SGACC walked miles with camels from Geeta colony to SHELTER because ambulance
was incapable of carrying the camels at odd hours and gave positive end to this rescue tale but, before ending this rescue story on happy note I want to leave you all with some queries which are banging walls of my brain and I guess every sensitive person does go through this phase after facing such sorrowful actuality.
- Why these voiceless have to suffer way more than we humans?
- Are we part of civilized sensitized society?
- Can more people like Mr. Mohit come forward for these voiceless?
Now let's summarize this rescue story with complete positive spirit and cherishing brave hearts like
Mr. Mohit AND SGACC volunteers who step
forward in extreme conditions and become beam of hope for such voiceless.
("SOMETIMES WE DON'T NEED WORDS TO EXPRESS PAIN, EMOTIONS EXPRESSES IT ALL" and these animals express their pain, love, compasion, gratitude through their gestures, and we just try to bind them in our words so that we can present it in humanly world.
