Monsoons not only cause health concerns among people, but also leave stray animals restless.

 BRIEF CASE HISTORY

CASE 1 , CASE 2 & CASE 3 : All these 3 dogs were rescued from 3 different locations of Delhi with the help of complainants who informed SGACC about them
DOG NO. 1 was rescued from mazlish Park ajadpur
DOG NO. 2 was rescued from very same place
DOG NO.3 was rescued from Lal Bagh

Tick fever, nasal bleeding and dehydration are the main issues of concern for all three of them. With the help of veterinarian all of them are out of danger and are under observation during the time of rescue all of them were extremely ill and were directly shifted to ICU.

CASE 4 & CASE 5 : The bull in 4th picture and cow in 5th picture were rescued by SGACC with help of kamdhenu Mangal Pariwar ambulance they are infected with worm infestation and deep maggot wounds, in large animals these are the most common diseases in this type of weather.

 PRESENT CONDITION

They are being cared and medicated at SGACC shelter but Some of these diseases are so fatal that even after treatment, the survival rate is as low as 60-70 per cent

MAJORS TO BE TAKEN IN THIS RAINY SEASON

As a pet parent and as an animal lover you must be concerned for not only your pets' health but also you should take care of homeless animals too. Pets/ animal's life become extremely stressed during monsoon. 5 major Steps which you should be taking to save the lives of stray are as follows

  • if possible get them DE warm vaccinated before monsoon it helps them to survive healthy during rainy days.

  • Not only your Pet but all animals fear the noise of thunder storm, lightning. This is very stressful and scary for them. They become panic provide them with shelter so that they can sleep at night and not wander in day.

  • provide with food 🍲 but not cold, spicy better provide them commercial food or dry food like to dogs dog food or Biscuits with less sweetener and to cows with regular roti or cleaned rice, green leafs can also be given.

  • maintaining hygiene is important once you foster some stray in your loyalty in basement or under some shade try to maintain some hygiene by covering that area so that it can be isolated from rain water and mud.

  • lastly in this seasons animals need to be kept little warm so provide them with light blankets or spare bed-sheets.
